ABOUT WYATT
I have been involved in music since I started taking lessons myself in second grade. I've been a part of many choirs, formed a variety of rock bands, performed as a solo singer songwriter, and have recorded a few albums in acoustic, electronic, and experimental styles. I have been teaching music for roughly 11 years now, and I've helped my students find success in their musical interests through building their confidence while showing others their potential and growth. If there is a piece of yourself involving music you wish to enhance, I am sure I can help you to make it shine.
I studied vocal performance at the University of Delaware, and have been teaching ever since I received my bachelor's degree in 2010. My students have gone on to win talent shows, battle of the bands, gotten into competitive choirs, received leads in their school plays, and even move on to become music teachers themselves. I push my students to find what it is about music that drives their passion and use that as the focal point for directing their learning and growth. I prefer to be flexible in working with my students in order to make sure that they are getting what THEY want out of music and that they are not simply jumping through hoops I create for them. I thoroughly believe that music should first and foremost be fun, shaping exercises and lessons through the filter of your own musical tastes. It is fun for me to help others find their own passion within music.
